About the role
Mater Hospital is looking for a Senior Administrative Officer to join the Infection Management team based at South Brisbane. This role is permanent, part-time (24 hours per week - 7 hours / 4 days per week preferred).
This position reports directly to the Manager, Infection Management and is responsible for activities relating to the operation of the Mater Staff Health Clinic, South-east Queensland.
Salary range: $35.45 - $39.62 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
What you’ll be doing
Within this context, the purpose of this position is to:
- Work within the Infection Management Team to provide cohesive, comprehensive and reliable administrative support
- Interact and engage with a variety of stakeholders across the Mater Community, including staff, students and volunteers
- Proactively manage day to day business within the Staff Health Unit with a focus on delivery of a quality service and consumer experience
- Manage several electronic databases and information systems to support the operational tasks within the unit
About you
You will have proficient and well-developed computer skills including competence in using multiple administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn these systems).
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties, organise and prioritise workflow to meet established deadlines
- High level communication and customer service skills
- Highly reliable and organised to manage multiple demands
- Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively
- Ability to demonstrate a positive and team focussed attitude
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and organise and prioritise workflow
- Demonstrated skill in problem solving, formulating new approaches and supporting the implementation of change programs and improvement strategies
- Reception / administrative duties including excellent customer service skills
