The Opportunity
Role:Senior Advice Reviewer. 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Reporting to the Head of Advice Policy and Assurance, this 6 month contract position will be responsible for reviewing client files to ensure financial advisers are meeting their compliance requirements as they deliver quality advice to Telstra Super Financial Planning clients, in a client centred and efficient way.
The Senior Advice Reviewer will be an integral member of the Advice Policy & Assurance team, conducting thorough audits, to assess provision of compliant quality advice meeting core regulatory obligations such as Best Interests Duty and related obligation. Identifying areas for improvement, supporting provision of quality effective advice.
Key responsibilities:
- Assessing compliance to regulatory obligations, standards and policies through supervision and monitoring activities which could include file reviews, pre-vet and/or observing/listening to client engagements through call recordings/transcripts of client interactions or attendance in meetings
- Maintaining comprehensive records of reviews, findings, and recommendations
- Establishing and monitoring relevant risk assessed action plans addressing root cause/s of associated findings
- Preparing detailed reports, summarising the results of the review process for sharing with relevant stakeholders and governance forums
About You
We are seeking a committed and energetic individual who is passionate about delivering great client outcomes. You will have extensive hands-on Financial Planning experience focused on the role of compliance and risk management in the delivery of quality financial advice, in particular experience working in teams responsible for interpreting advice obligations and legislative change, policy development, advice review, advice coaching and advice remediation. Demonstrated skill in applying the core advice obligations in the generation of financial advice that is in the best interests of clients will be integral to success in this role.
Additionally, you have:
- 8+ years’ hands on financial planner experience focused on compliance and risk management
- Attained the required FASEA qualifications and be eligible to provide personal advice
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) status or Master’s in Financial Planning preferred
- Strong understanding of Corporations Act, AUSTRAC and ASIC regulatory guidance
