STRATEGIC AND GOVERNANCE SERVICES CENTREJOONDALUP CAMPUS $111,152 to $125,191 p.a PLUS 17% SUPERANNUATION (HEW 8)ONGOING, FULL -TIME OverviewAn exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic Academic Quality and Standards team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of ECU’s academic excellence. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to take on the role of Senior Adviser, Academic Quality and Standards. This position provides a chance to help shape the future of ECU’s academic standards and ensure the delivery of high-quality education, making it an exciting prospect.The RoleAs Senior Adviser Academic Quality and Standards, you will provide expert evidence-based advice and guidance in relation to Academic Quality and higher education standards, compliance, accreditation, and quality enhancement in the context of academic programs. This includes the development, implementation, and management of relevant Academic Quality assurance and higher education standards and frameworks at the University. Collaborating closely with colleagues across the university, you will establish and maintain positive client relationships to develop and implement reporting platforms and frameworks, providing crucial support to schools. Your role will involve providing effective supervision and guidance to your team, aiming to enhance outcomes for the University, with a strong emphasis on the management and oversight of Academic Quality and Standards.Your responsibilities will include:
Academic Quality Expertise: Providing expertise in the development and monitoring of Academic Quality and compliance with higher education standards and legislation, including Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF), Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Standards for Vocational Education and Training.
Evidence-Based Advice: Using evidence-based processes and data analysis to offer advice on curriculum and Academic Quality improvement and compliance.
Project Leadership: Leading specific projects to enhance reporting systems and practices for Academic Quality and Standards reporting.
Operational Support: Assisting in the oversight of academic governance, quality, and regulatory compliance processes, including policy maintenance and development.
Policy Insights: Offering high-level policy advice and recommendations on Academic Quality assurance and curriculum development, contributing to policy reviews and updates.
The successful applicant will have the following core competencies:
A relevant Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
Demonstrated expertise in the interpretation and application of higher education standards and legislative requirements, including HESF, ESOS, and RTO Standards.
Demonstrated capability to undertake complex project management across the full life cycle from identification to completion.
Experience in utilising evidence-based practices and data analysis for continuous improvement and monitoring of curriculum and Academic Quality compliance.
Demonstrated highly developed relationship building and negotiation skills, including expertise in written and oral communication.
Demonstrated capability to act with high levels of autonomy, initiative, adaptability, and with attention to detail.
