As part of our newly created AI team, The Senior AI Engineer will develop, design and optimize state-of-the-art NLP and multiple-modal models utilising LLM techniques.
This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, design, and optimize state-of-the-art NLP and multiple-modal models utilizing LLM techniques.
- Train and fine-tune LLMs to achieve optimal performance in various NLP tasks with LLM frameworks.
- Deploy LLMs for various tasks.
- Conduct research and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of NLP and LLMs and apply relevant techniques to enhance our existing models.
- Prepare large-scale NLP data with data engineer for fine tuning and training.
- Optimize NLP models for performance, scalability, and efficiency to handle large-scale datasets.
- Implement and maintain deployment pipelines for NLP models in a cloud environment, particularly AWS.
ABOUT YOU
- Full Australian working rights without restriction.
- 5+ years of industry/research experience is necessary, with a focus Deep Learning and NLP engineering.
- A Higher Degree of Research in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
- Solid understanding of NLP concepts, techniques, and algorithms, such as Sparse/Mixture Expert Modelling and LLM, prompt engineering, RAG, word embeddings and transformer and attention mechanisms.
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in training and fine-tuning Sparse Expert Models and LLMs, particularly models and tools.
- Expert proficiency in programming languages and platforms is a essential, such as Python, C++,Cuda, C++ & Linux.
