ERM’s National Heritage Team is comprised of highly regarded archaeologists, anthropologists, built heritage conservation experts, heritage place managers and interpretive specialists who all work collaboratively towards successful and sustainable outcomes for our clients.

We work on exciting heritage and interdisciplinary projects across all States and Territories in Australia. Our dedicated team has experience across World, National, Commonwealth, State and Local heritage places in Australia.

These positions offer an excellent opportunity to be part of an industry-leading multi-disciplinary consultancy and develop professional and technical skills in a supportive team environment.

Job Description

We are recruiting for up to four roles for December and into the New Year. These roles will involve working as part of our National Heritage Team in the preparation of cultural heritage assessments and management plans, Aboriginal stakeholder engagement and consultation, exciting field surveys, research, report writing, and project management.

We are seeking experienced and qualified archaeologists (having an archaeology related university degree with Honours) with Aboriginal heritage management and consultation experience who are enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative. These roles are across our east coast offices with flexible working-from-home arrangements.

We are looking for:

  • Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Consultant in Queensland (minimum experience 4 years)
  • Senior Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Consultant in Queensland (minimum experience 7 years)
  • Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Consultant in either NSW or ACT (minimum experience 2 years)
  • Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Consultant in Victoria (minimum experience 1-2 years with ability to qualify as Vic Heritage Advisor)

Don’t fit into one of these roles above? If you are an archaeologist with experience working with Aboriginal cultural heritage we’d love to talk to you!

What can we offer?

At ERM, we believe that our only asset is our people and we strive to provide a working environment and benefits that both attract and retain top talent. We offer a competitive package, flexible working options, a welcoming team atmosphere, and a professional and collaborative culture.
