The role
As a Senior Associate, Employee Communications you will be responsible for executing and delivering communications in support of the Corporate Affairs Strategy, consistent with NAB's Strategic Ambition. This includes developing employee communication materials for colleagues across all parts of the business and providing strategic advice to NAB's most senior leaders.
Key responsibilities:
Your key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
- Support the planning, advice and execution of activities aligned to the Corporate Affairs Strategy with a specific focus on Employee Communications and engagement across key colleague portfolios.
- Developing and executing communications and engagement plans and messaging tailored to relevant internal audiences.
- Planning and execution of key leadership messages to all colleagues, as well as targeted messaging for specific cohorts where necessary.
- Drive business decisions that will build trust and drive change for the benefit of customers, communities and NAB, and by pursuing new, innovative, creative and effective communications approaches
- Work in collaboration with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and organisation, to ensure consistent alignment of NAB's messaging and communications activity.
- Proactively manage risk, meet all policy and compliance requirements, perform controls, adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role, and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified. Ensure all communications content and materials are delivered in line with these requirements.
What you will bring:
To succeed in this role, you will bring professional experience working in a similar role coupled with unwavering drive and motivation to succeed in fast paced, at times ambiguous and complex environment and have:
- 7 years' experience in Communications/Public Relations/Employee Engagement with accountabilities for managing leadership engagement and Employee Communications.
- Previous experience in Communications with accountabilities for supporting major enterprise communication projects.
- Innovative communications and story-telling that are delivered in the appropriate style of language and channel for the target audiences.
- Support with the execution of internal communications and pursue opportunities for integrated communications (internal, external, social) wherever possible.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills coupled with the ability to work under pressure.
