As Product Manager, you will work in our Global Transaction Services (GTS) Line of Business, within Westpac's Institutional Bank. This is a key role, within our GTS Core Payments team reporting to the Team Leader, Core Payments.
You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, documenting, and recommending product change, risks, and issues within a rapidly changing payments environment, including alignment to our GTS strategy whilst adhering to industry, legal/compliance regulations, and obligations.
You will own selected initiatives, including developing and executing customer centric strategies in an efficient, safe, and sustainable manner.
Additionally, you will:
- Work in cross-functional, agile teams to prioritise product initiative backlogs, including defining requirements for customer use cases in payments.
- Support end-to-end product lifecycle management, customer, and financial performance of the product portfolio. This includes reporting and consolidating metrics to drive insights, awareness, and action; as well as develop and lead monthly / quarterly product updates and reporting.
- Establish the subject matter expertise for products, core product processes, industry insights, needed for effective decision making and day-to-day running of product set.
- Engage with stakeholders across the end-to-end value chain, including sales, implementation, service, operations, and our supporting teams in compliance, risk and legal.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will have 3-5 years minimum practical experience in product management (preferably within financial services) and a deep working knowledge of payments, cash management and the relevant transactional banking product set.
You will have a solid understanding of product/processes and the regulations affecting these products and proven ability to take ownership and deliver results in complex corporate / banking environments.
Ideally you will also have a strong understanding of product economics, and ability to conduct opportunity analysis, and experience in developing product roadmaps, strategies and customer value propositions.
