Butterken Bakery is a passionate bakery dedicated to handcrafting sourdough bread of artisan quality with a modern approach to health, sustainability, and taste. We bake on site with local ingredients in an open production space.
We are aiming to bring German bread culture to Australia. We have authentic pretzels and rye bread on the menu as well as German style cakes.
Your day-to-day:
- Weighing ingredients, operating equipment including mixers and deck oven
- Baking a wide range of quality products daily in a fast paced environment
- Quality assurance
- Overseeing, training and managing staff from time-to-time
- Recipe development
- General cleaning duties
Must-haves:
- Experience with sourdough
- Team player attitude and high attention to detail
- Strong time management and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Availability on weekends
- Love and passion for great bread
