Join our Global Finance team in this new role as a Senior Banking Officer. The Senior Banking Associate will assist the Accounts Receivable and Banking Supervisor who oversees the global Banking and Receivables functions whilst ensuring best practices are adhered to across the organisation. This role will also work closely with the Accounts Payable and Accounting teams.

In this hands-on role, your Primary responsibilities will be to:

• Prepare reconciliation of incoming cash and payment method reconciliations across the Michael Hill Group, operating in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
• Coordinate and resolve banking variances and deliver reporting and key areas of improvement in the variance and cash handling space.
• Ensure all foreign currency bank accounts are actioned weekly and reconciled to the General Ledger monthly.
• Assist supervisor in reviewing ledger and balance sheet reconciliation.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Similar experience within a banking team, ideally within a retail or trade environment with exposure to foreign currency transactions.
• ERP system experience, preferably in D365.
• Thorough experience managing a team, people management and an interest in upskilling and training team members.
• Highly developed Excel skills and ability to work with large amounts of information.
• Must have an ability to work under pressure and organize work priorities to meet deadlines.
• Strong and excellent communication skills, building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Good working knowledge of computer systems.
