Job description

Joining our Finance team at the head office in Collingwood, you will report directly to the Financial Manager, overseeing day-to-day transactional accounting for a portfolio of entities within the group. This is a Full-time permanent role, with a Hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable processing with weekly AP runs.
  • Supplier set up & ensure details are accurate in Xero..
  • Full function weekly payroll for 90+ staff, including superannuation, payroll tax calculations, and work cover.
  • Bank accounts and credit card reconciliations.
  • Processing accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals.
  • Intercompany transactions processing.
  • Assist with general ledger and balance sheet accounts reconciliation.
  • Participation in group month-end and year-end.
  • Assist with the preparation of IAS & BAS returns.
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Assist with cash flow reporting.
  • Other ad hoc duties to support the Finance Manager as required.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum of Certificate 4 in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
  • Literacy in Accounting technology and experience with Xero, Tanda or Lightyear will be looked upon favourably.
  • Exposure to API integrations.
  • Experience in high-volume transactions.
  • Hospitality industry experience or exposure to multi-entity/multi-client environments.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines and reporting timetables.
  • High levels of accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Forward-thinking & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, including GST.
  • Prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team.
