Role Description

This is a full-time Senior Building Certifier role at Pinnacle Certification, located in Brisbane City, QLD, or the option of the Sunshine Coast as your main base. There will be occasional travel between the Sunshine Coast office and the Brisbane office to cover all projects as needed. The Senior Building Certifier will be responsible for assisting junior staff, managing the life of projects from assessment to final inspection in accordance with the relevant regulations and legislation. You will also work closely with clients, architects, engineers, builders, and project managers to ensure projects meet compliance requirements and to provide advice on regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant degree or diploma in Building Surveying, Building Certification, or a related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of building codes, regulations, and Australian standards
• Proven experience with residential Class 1 & 10 building inspections and certifications
• Held a Building Certifier Level 3 or 2 licence with QBCC for a Minimum of 3 years.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a range of audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, amicably respond to changes in priorities or deadlines as necessary and manage competing assignments effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience with Class 2 – 9 certification is beneficial, but not required.
