Your new role
Reporting to the Coordinator Building Services, in this role you will be responsible for undertaking day-to-day duties associated with the processing of various statutory building applications. Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Assessing and processing building applications ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including the Building Act 2011, Building Regulations 2012 and National Construction Code.
- Maintaining appropriate records
- Providing a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Providing technical advice to internal and external stakeholders relevant to building mattes
- Carrying out inspections prior to issue of occupancy permits
- Provide leadership support to the Coordinator Building Services
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in a building surveying role
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant building legislation
- Registration as a Building Surveying Practitioner Level 2
- Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence
- Tertiary qualification in Building Surveying or Equivalent
