The Senior Business Advisor (Data Analytics and Reporting) role is to provide high quality analytical expertise within the FICs team including the development and delivery of routine and ad hoc reporting, high level advice and information to key stakeholders within the HHS to support decision making and to liaise with Queensland Health and external stakeholders in relation to activity base funding and any health information as required.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide high level advice and support to customers and key stakeholders in relation to activity based funding, clinical costing, performance against Service Level Agreements, clinical information, research information, data quality and data analysis as required.
  • Ensure that customer's needs are met in a timely manner by undertaking detailed analysis, reporting on health data and providing relevant, accurate and quality information that supports decision making. Ensure all ad-hoc requests are logged on the Service Now application and monitor turn-around-times for completion.
  • Oversee and assist in the processing, reporting and data quality initiatives to ensure accurate and relevant management information is available. Participation in the mandatory annual Statement of Assurance to the Qld DoH that assures the quality and completeness of submitted activity data.
  • Develop and maintain reporting to suit business needs via the SCHHS BI stack. Work in partnership with the business to understand business needs, gather data requirements and develop applicable information models.

Remuneration value up to $144 003 p.a., comprising salary between $117 824 - $126 212 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
