Our federal government client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to be at the forefront of driving strategic decision-making through your expert data analysis. The Business Analyst will work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the Branch to understand their objectives and requirements, while identifying trends that can shape our business strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed analysis to align projects and solutions with Digital Earth strategic objectives.
- Serve as a bridge between leadership and delivery teams, ensuring that our business requirements are translated into actionable evidence-driven insights.
- Drive the creation of an updated Branch strategy, with collaboration and consultation from the Digital Earth leadership team.
- Facilitate workshops to agree on requirements, priorities, and work allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize requirements that align with strategic goals and develop detailed business and technical requirements.
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of process and governance improvement initiatives.
- Champion best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics roles
- Broad knowledge and understanding of client’s business.
- Excellent business writing and communication skills to effectively influence senior management decisions.
- Proven track record in eliciting requirements and acquiring subject matter expertise.
- Experience working with stakeholders of various backgrounds and seniority levels, including scientific and government stakeholders.
- Significant experience with science, information systems and ICT projects, particularly in software and systems development methodologies.
- Ability to handle complex and ambiguous problems and find solutions.
- Sound decision-making and judgment to provide high-level advice.
