Senior Business Analyst (Mining Industry)

The successful candidate will play a key role in capturing requirements and collaborating with both business and IT technical resources to deliver immediate productivity improvements. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the mining or resources industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and document business requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and IT stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, with experience in leading workshops and meetings.
- Experience with business process analysis and improvement, including process mapping and gap analysis.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems and technologies, with the ability to evaluate feasibility and effectiveness of solutions.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools and techniques for business analysis, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Agile.
- Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify and document business requirements for process improvement and automation.
- Work closely with IT technical resources to ensure that requirements are captured accurately and that solutions are feasible and effective.
- Identify opportunities for process streamlining and cost optimization, and work with the team to develop solutions that deliver tangible benefits to the business.
- Develop and maintain documentation of business processes, procedures, and requirements.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between business and IT stakeholders to ensure that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify areas where processes or systems need to be improved or changed.
- Develop and implement metrics and reporting to measure the success of process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of business processes and identify opportunities for further improvement.
