How will I help?
Working within the Technology, Centralised IT Co-ordination team in Group Business Unit - Technology, the Senior Analyst plays an important role with a primarily focusing to ensure smooth running of complex technology solution which delivers Basel 3 regularity reports to APRA (Australian Prudential Regulation Authority) as well as working across the team supporting other solutions and applications.
Basel 3 has been a large and complex multi-year risk program delivered the new solution and framework for calculating regulatory capital requirements covering three prudential standards (APS 112, APS 113 and APS 115). The technology solution encompasses several upstream systems, data flows and technology platforms.
The Senior Analyst will be required to play a crucial role in IT co-ordination team to deliver best customer outcome to internal stakeholders by ensuring smooth running of IT jobs , on time data delivery , end-to-end co-ordinating when complex IT issues arise with respective application.
This role must be based in Sydney and will require the candidate to attend the office 2 days a week.
On a day-to-day basis, senior analyst will collaborate across teams and functions, working with BAU (Business as Usual) IT and business support teams. Key deliverables of this role will include:
- Facilitate batch process activities.
- Analyse and triage cross system IT issues for its resolution
- Chair meeting with IT Application teams for complex production failure impacting multiple systems.
- Proactive early engagement with Business Application Owner team in case of any upcoming issues
- Create and maintain agreed dashboards covering aspects such as batch running, health checks, etc.
- Communication to business and IT teams on critical issues
- Document and Coordinate workaround/intermediate fix of incident.
- Co-ordinate the solution on complex production failure impacting multiple systems with IT Application teams.
- Ensure project team to update the data flow, system diagrams post any change implementation to the existing solution.
- Highlight any potential control gap or weaknesses to Business Application Owner
- Communication to stakeholders for Tech focus update

What do I need?
To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Must have experience in Regularity Reporting solutions in financial services and banking environments.
- Must have a sound technical background.
- Must have an IT service management experience.
- Prior experience in supporting complex IT solution involving multiple teams.
- Technical problem solving and co-ordination among multiple teams.
- Extensive experience in service management (Incidents, Problems, Change, Configuration, and documentation)
- Proven Experience as a Technical Business Analyst
- Proficient in using Control-M, Service Now, Confluence, JIRA
- Working knowledge of using SAS, SQL, Power BI and excel for data analysis.
- Min 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Good written and verbal communication skills
