We are looking for passionate Senior IT Business Analyst join our APAC team here at Stryker! This is an exciting role for an ambitious Data & Analytics expert looking to take ownership the relationships for our Global and APAC region.
This will be a hybrid working model based in our Sydney office (St Leonard's) and has flexibility with hours as will sometimes support global time zones based on the project/business stakeholders engaged.
This is a techno-functional role and will sit as a liaison between our IT and Business stakeholder, specifically focusing on Data & Analytics and Business Enablement, mainly in the Microsoft Azure tech stack.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the teams across APAC.
- Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.
- Recommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
- Work with Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics capabilities to define use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectives.
- Create and document features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements and manage the lifecycle of the requirements effectively.
- Document test cases and manage user acceptance testing in partnership with business SMEs and end users.
- Effectively leverage demand, collaboration and planning tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) for documentation of requirements and test cases.
- Train business SMEs and end users and assist with organisational change management to enhance the adoption of new technologies delivered to meet the business demands.
Key requirements:
- Strong communication and relationship skills.
- Ability to partner with business representatives at all levels to identify needs, define and document requirements, and drive solutions.
- Ability to develop detailed project requests or charters which include project objectives, success criteria, and requirements.
- Experience in identifying opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience and knowledge in Data Governance and Management processes is preferred.
- Experience and knowledge in Business Enablement through self-service analytics capabilities and citizen development model is preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies is preferred.
- Flexibility to support different time zones based on the project/business stakeholders being engaged.
Qualifications & experience:
- BA in business administration or computer information systems.
- 8 years of professional experience in a similar field.
- Experience in Data and Analytics concepts such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Multi-dimensional Data Modelling, Data Pipelines, SQL Querying, and Reporting and Data Visualisation with Power BI is essential.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure Data Analytics technologies (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, etc.), AI-enabled Advanced Analytics, and Power Platform preferred.
- Professional experience and knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server Database, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and Integration Services preferred.
- Experience in documenting complex processes, process mapping and presenting them in a clear and understandable format.
- Demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate and recommend changes to business processes.
- Professional experience and knowledge in extracting insights from data within enterprise systems such as JDE ERP and Salesforce CRM highly regarded.
