Role Overview:

Following a significant funding round, a global technology company has initiated a journey of data-driven business transformation and is enthusiastic about expanding its data and analytics team. They are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team and contribute to their next phase of growth.

As a Senior BI Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering business-critical executive dashboards and comprehensive reports, contributing significantly to strategic decision-making and business outcomes. This role offers excellent learning and development opportunities, significant career growth potential, and flexible working arrangements, with only two days per week required in the Brisbane CBD office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct business analysis to understand the requirements of business users for analytics.
• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards with high-quality visualisations for executive stakeholders.
• Extract data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy through meticulous cleaning and preprocessing, and apply data modelling techniques for analysis and visualisation.
• Ensure data quality using relevant tools and techniques.
• Proactively contribute to data process improvements, governance, architecture, and team enhancements.
• Analyse and interpret data trends and patterns, communicating key findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other data analysts and teams.
• Build and maintain the data dictionary.
• Establish enterprise standards for tooling, data quality, and performance measures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions, including enterprise-level reporting and high-quality visualisations
• Strong analytical skills with a systematic problem-solving approach
• Extensive experience in enhancing data quality and process improvement
• Ability to understand and address data implementation challenges
• Proven track record of working with complex business datasets and delivering actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information effectively
• Proficiency in SQL; additional programming skills are a plus
• Self-motivated learner keeping abreast of changes in the data and analytics landscape
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Lean-Agile Methodology
• Experience working with a global organisation 
• Prior experience in implementing enterprise-level dashboards
• Experience in the telecommunications industry
• Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc)
