About This Opportunity
The Senior Campus Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing and implementing Campus Operations projects and initiatives aligned to client needs, the broader University and Property & Facilities strategy. The role is responsible for maintaining strong client relationships with faculty/ institute clients across the University. This role reports to the Senior Client Facility Manager.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the implementation of maintenance projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment to client plans, business unit objectives and Property and Facilities Division strategies.
Manage and carry out user funded work requests across multiple precincts.
Support, organise and manage ad hoc activities (such as OHS related initiatives) and other special projects, and infrequent maintenance requirements (parking meters, boom gates, electronic signs) as instructed by the Senior Client Facility Manager.
Manage ad-hoc maintenance work as requested by the Property Managers for UQ residential properties and all tenanted spaces at St Lucia campus.
Regularly prepare and analyse reports, providing advice and guidance on suggested action items.
Effectively monitor the progress and status of a project to achieve the completion of projects within the agreed program and budget.
Coordinate the provision of resources (both in-house and external contractors) as required for events held at St Lucia campus.
Maintain effective channels of communication with all stakeholders and Property and Facilities staff and contractors.
Collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to facilitate a seamless and effective user funded service and look for opportunities to enhance service quality, effectiveness and timeliness.
Lead, manage, mentor and support staff who are direct reports to this position.
Any other duties as reasonably directed by your supervisor.
This is a Full-time, 100% FTE Continuing (Permanent). At HEW Level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range of $96,649.64 to $105,244.58 plus a generous super allowance of 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $113,080.08 to $123,136.15 per annum.
About You
Completion of a building related Degree with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant trade experience and/or education/training.
Ability to apply structured problem solving approaches and good judgement to analyse, manage and resolve a diverse range of issues.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders and establish and become a trusted adviser and service provider to key clients.
Demonstrated strong financial accountability in preparing and managing programs, and project budget allocations and cashflows.
Desirable
Experience working in maintenance service delivery functions in complex stakeholder and policy environments.
Knowledge and technical experience in the provision of building maintenance services in large, complex buildings (including technical, scientific or laboratory facilities) within established policy frameworks, to meet client and organisational outcomes and results.
Demonstrated project and contract management experience.
