What you’ll do:
Play a pivotal role and lead our experienced Cancer Care Pharmacy team at John Flynn Private Hospital! This is an advanced Cancer Care position that will allow you to practice at full scope and provide comprehensive medication management for patients receiving cancer treatments. John Flynn Private Hospital has long-established history of providing quality Cancer Care to the local community with a 24-chair day infusion unit, 29 bed inpatient ward and an active clinical trials unit. The hospital provides a wide range of cancer services including; chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy radiotherapy, and cancer wellness in haematology and medical oncology.
- Drive and deliver patient-centered pharmacy services within a multidisciplinary team, emphasizing medication safety and optimization.
- Perform clinical assessments, drug therapy monitoring, and offer patient-specific recommendations.
- Educate patients and caregivers on efficient medication management while contributing to aseptic compounding and Cancer Care meetings.
- Contribute to the advancement of cancer medicine through active involvement in the provision of clinical trials.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent with current unconditional Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
- High level of computer literacy including systems knowledge of CHARM, Merlin, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and leading a team in accordance with legislative and medication safety guidelines.
- Previous experience and/or formal study in Cancer Care and the ability to perform aseptic complex compounding.
It is a mandatory requirement that you provide:
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccinations using vaccines approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
- A national police check within the last 12 months
