About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Food Services Department as a Senior Chef, where you will be responsible for:
- The provision of an efficient and effective food service by ordering, preparing, cooking and serving safe and suitable high-quality meals for the patient meal service, cafe and function service.
- Supervise Chefs to ensure compliance with legislative, nutritional and quality standards.
- Work closely with Kitchen Operations Manager and Food Service Dietician in recipe development to optimise cost and quality of recipes and menus.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2 years' experience in a comparable environment, leading and managing a team and providing on-the-job training.
- Demonstrated Knowledge of safe working conditions, food storage and correct food handling techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, consumers and external agencies face to face, over the phone or electronically, demonstrating a high level of interpersonal skill.
