Senior Civil Designer (12D)

 Who are we looking for?

We seek a passionate and driven Civil Design Engineer Team Leader with expertise in 12d Model and DRAINS design software based in our Central Sydney Office. The successful candidate will support our business in project delivery on a wide variety of infrastructure design projects. Clear communication skills and enjoyment working in a team environment is essential. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Civil Designers working on a diverse range of projects utilising demonstrated skills and experience in 12d and DRAINS.
• Ensuring company and client expectations are agreed and met within allocated timeframes and budgets
• Building accurate models of the project design in 12d Model
• Collating design information from design drawings or other electronic models
• Identifying potential or existing issues with designs and communicating possible solutions
• Managing and mentoring of junior staff.

About you:

• Minimum 7 years’ recent experience working in a civil engineering design consultancy.
• The ability to ‘hit the ground running’ with proficiency in the use of software such as AutoCAD and 12d is essential.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills 
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in the management and mentoring of staff.
