Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer proficient in AutoCAD for a full-time position in our Melbourne team. This role offers the chance to contribute to significant water infrastructure projects, leveraging our strong partnerships with water authorities. Our team is actively engaged in delivering major capital projects for South East Water's unprecedented $1.5 billion investment, a collaborative effort between Abergeldie, BMD & KBR (ABK) under a 10-year contract. This partnership involves planning and executing major infrastructure upgrades as part of a new integrated capital works planning and delivery model.
As a Senior Civil Designer, your responsibilities will include completing civil designs and drafting work using various software packages, with a focus on AutoCAD when necessary. Effective communication with stakeholders, including project supervisors, engineers, and junior staff, is crucial. Additionally, you'll play a key role in providing support and guidance to junior staff and assume a leadership role when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification
- Exposure to critical water infrastructure
- High competency in 12D and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated balance of practicality and innovation
- Minimum 8 years of applicable industry experience in a design environment
