The Opportunity
SCP has a great opportunity for a Senior Civil Drafter to join our team. This role will be based in our Sydney office working closely with our growing team of engineers and drafting professionals.
You’ll support the civil group and confidence to work as part of a team and individually.
The ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders is essential, we are looking for the right person to develop into a key member of our Civil Drafting team.
You will be part of a welcoming and flexible workplace where you will be able to take advantage of our hybrid arrangement after your probation. You will be supported and encouraged to grow your career and sharpen your skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying resourcing the drafting team which includes identifying scope creep, capacity overload based on milestone delivery dates.
- Identifying work downturn in order to be proactive in relaying this information to relevant BDM staff to ensure work is sourced.
- Drafts finished detailed drawings from information supplied by Engineers, Clients, other specialist consultants. Accuracy in modelling.
- Recommending training for junior drafters.
- Provide input into Integrated Management System regarding SCP drafting procedures.
- Ensure drafters comply with SCP CAD manual and Integrated Management System.
- Provide advice and input to the Directors regarding performance reviews of drafters.
- Submits work to professional engineer for review.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, articulate and bring a willingness to take ownership of this key functional role within the SCP team. You will also have:
- A minimum of 5 years of local experience
- An eye for detail and working to company standards.
- The ability to be a team player and the drive to support the team in delivering projects.
- The ability to work collaboratively in the ongoing maintenance and development of standards.
- The ability to work to deadlines.
