Mentor a team of Civil Engineers within our Victorian Civil Projects department. Collaborate with colleagues within Projects and other divisions for knowledge sharing, stakeholder engagement, and building the Intrax brand.
- Civil engineering design for building lead projects (commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and multi-storey residential developments), and public domain infrastructure and building projects such as sports fields and council facilities.
- Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with team members, clients, drafters, contractors, Council and other authorities, architects, and builders.
- Coordinate with the team to establish workflow, supporting the organization's culture of being a learning organization.
- Opportunities to work closely with management teams and start building, maintaining and fostering strong relationships with clients, supporting business development activities to support our existing client and promote new business.
- Lead the delivery of technically accurate, cost-effective, and optimum designs in accordance with Australian standards.
- Identify and seek opportunities to lead and contribute to innovative and technical improvement projects for the business at large.
- Conduct site inspections as part of construction administration tasks such as site progress inspections, resolving on-site conditions and responding to contractor RFIs.
5+ years of professional experience for Civil engineering projects and a minimum qualification of a bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Design experience in roads, stormwater drainage, onsite stormwater detention, pump systems, car parking, access driveways/maneuvering areas.
- Excellent skills in 3D design software for earthworks, road, drainage, sewer, and pavement level design.
- Understanding of stormwater design to WSUD guidelines, including MUSIC modeling.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards, Austroads, VicRoads, and other relevant authority standards for road and drainage design.
- Minor flood assessments are desirable.
- Ability to manage, train, and mentor engineers in the civil team.
- Registered Building Practitioner (VIC) and/or NER is desired.
