Our Civil Infrastructure Team is a key component in major infrastructure projects in the areas of industrial development, defence, renewable energy and major community projects.
We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Civil team in Adelaide to support Civil Infrastructure Projects. In this role you will manage the design and documentation on a variety of Civil Infrastructure projects in both the public and private sectors, across an extensive regional client portfolio. You will have an aptitude for resolving complex site constraints within the operational parameters required of such facilities, as well as previous project experience within a multi-disciplinary team.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Design, design coordination and project management of Civil Infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to construction.
• Identify, develop and manage key opportunities / clients for the Business Group and promote teaming across the services
• Undertake the role of civil discipline lead whilst providing technical expertise to clients and support projects through other offices as required.
• Prepare technical reports and specifications.
• Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets, as well as coordination between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• Contribute to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in Civil Engineering including planning, design, and construction.
• Maintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients throughout the South Australian region; and
• Assist in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management, including the cross-selling of opportunities within the existing client base

What would you bring to the team?

• A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), or similar, relevant discipline, coupled with 8 years' experience in urban design and development.
• Must be currently eligible to obtain and hold an Australian Government security clearance
• Engineers Australia Chartered Engineering Status (CPEng) desirable
• Excellent project management skills and ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
• Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and budget.
• The capability to produce concise and accurate reports, technical specifications, design calculations, drafting briefs and mark-ups.
• Demonstrated experience in Civil Engineering design and the delivery of projects, from small projects to medium sized projects.
• Experience and a sound understanding of current Civil Engineering technologies, including design, modelling, and construction.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards
