What you'll be doing
This includes provision of nutritional assessment, intervention, education / counselling and follow up for outpatients referred to the BH Obesity / Metabolic Program, and metabolic surgery inpatients admitted to Blacktown Hospital. This will include providing clinical services to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
This position has a recognised clinical specialty in the dietary treatment of obesity and bariatric surgery and works in an area that requires high levels of clinical expertise and knowledge in that specialty.

Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications: Nutrition and Dietetics, acceptable for membership of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia (DAA)
Selection Criteria:
- Well-developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement, with the ability to work independently with minimum direct clinical supervision, but also effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- High level computer skills, including experience using CBORD Diet Office System and Cerner eMR or equivalent.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development in the area of clinical speciality.
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and on call, if required.
- Substantial post graduate experience in clinical nutrition and up to date knowledge of dietetic practice, with experience in both outpatient and inpatient service delivery, and recent experience in the dietetic management of obesity and / or bariatric surgery.
