Access the National Relay Service
- Provide contemporary, transparent and evidence-based clinical advice about positive behaviour support and reducing and eliminating restrictive practices in the context of the Disability Services Act 2006.
- Develop positive behaviour support plans for adults with an intellectual or cognitive disability, including those subject to containment and/or seclusion.
- Undertake clinical assessments and prepare submissions, plans, reports, briefs and other documentation as required.
- Maintain an active clinical caseload of adults with complex behaviour support needs.
- Ensure that compliance is maintained with the legislative framework and ensure appropriate safeguards are implemented for adults in line with the Disability Services Act 2006.
- Provide training and advice to AS&RS staff and the broader disability sector about the requirements of the Disability Services Act 2006 in relation to restrictive practices.
- Create and maintain client records consistent with Departmental and legislative requirements.
