About the role
The Senior Community Mental Health Clinician provides high quality evidence based clinical services, including complex Mental Health assessments and case management as part of a multidisciplinary team to people living with moderate to severe mental illness and to their family and the people who care for them. Working independently and autonomously to provide expert clinical care within a community setting and as a clinical lead provide support to the multidisciplinary team across the Richmond Mental Health catchment through the application of the principles of best practice, the provision of education, clinical leadership and supervision.
If you have:
- Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or relevant qualification in Social Work with eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers. To be appointed as a Level 3 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years' clinical experience and demonstrated experience of extensive specialist knowledge or a high level of broad generalist knowledge within the discipline as defined by the award definitions of a level 3 practitioner OR Registered with AHPRA and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Demonstrated clinical experience in working with people living with mental illness and their families/key support people in community Mental Health with demonstrated ability to provide case management and navigate complex clinical and psychosocial situations
- Applied understanding of the principles of person centred care, trauma informed care and recovery in the context of people living with mental illness
