Our federal government client is seeking a talented and driven Senior Cloud Engineer for 3 days. You will manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security.
About the role:
- Highly Available Solutions: Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and governance to identify and implement improvements.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop IaC using cloud-native tools for automated and consistent platform deployments.
- Data Protection Best Practices: Implement policy-driven data protection practices to safeguard cloud solutions from data loss.
About you:
- Azure Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including design, deployment, configuration, and optimisation.
- IaaS and PaaS: Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions, and experience working within an Agile framework.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in IaC development using tools like Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible, and scripting skills in Perl, Python, and PowerShell.
This role is being offered to those in Canberra, ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, Offsite. Initial contract for 12 months and high chance to be extended.
Security Requirements
Our Government Client require applicants must be Australian citizen and must have Baseline Security clearance and candidate will be required to maintain a clearance at this level.
Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment screening checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.
