MyFirstGym is a one stop fitness shop for children from 7 months right through to 15 years. We deliver outcome based programs and inspire kids to fall in love with movement and fitness.
Our development programs are designed to improve children's physical literacy, while our specialty programs are designed to focus on specific sports. Our specialty programs include Martial Arts, Ninja Warrior, Yoga, Dance, Gymnastics, Cheer, Parkour, Boxing and MFG Fit.
About the role
The role of a MyFirstGym Coach is to inspire children to fall in love with movement and fitness and help them to feel confident and motivated. MyFirstGym Coaches are not just coaches, they are mentors, super heros and role models who are passionate about working with children.
We are seeking a number of coaches to assist with the following classes…
- Dance
- Cheer
- Gymnastics
- Ninja Warrior
- Parkour
- Sports
- Birthday Party Host
- Junior Coach from ages 15 years may apply to assist with Birthday Parties
We have classes across our timetable morning and afternoon, 7 days per week. Our coaches also assist with events and birthday parties.
Skills and experience
- Experience working with children (ideal but not essential)
- Hold a current Blue Card
- First Aid Certificate (ideal but not essential)
- Current certification in area of expertise eg. Gymnastics Certification/Cert IV in Fitness (ideal but not essential)
- Strong customer service skills
- A passion for Health and Fitness
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Working with Children Check/Blue Card:
MyFirstGym Coomera, including the Franchisee and Management are committee to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with the MyFirstGym Child and Youth management strategy. MyFirstGym requires all applicants to undergo satisfactory screening prior to their commencement. Any successful applicants will be required to adhere to the MyFirstGym Child and Youth Management Strategy including an induction and ongoing training.
This role is all about inspiring the younger generation to grow up fit and healthy all while getting to do what you love.
