Senior Commercial Analyst

The Senior Commercial Analyst provides input into commercial decisions through financial and non-financial analysis, using specialised financial models. They use comprehensive, often unstructured sets of data (relying on data coming of a data warehouse or from various financial or non-financial systems) to provide persuasive analysis for business units or the group to meet Nexon’s objectives. Reporting to the CFO, this position will collaborate closely with the finance team, senior management, and Nexon’s business operations and IT team.
Key Responsibilities

• Analytical support & decision making on projects: Provides analytical insight into the commercial or financial objectives of strategic importance to a business unit or the group.
• Establish & develop tools & reports providing commercial insight: Collaborates with the Internal IT team, the Finance team and the business to establish analytics and reports on relevant commercial or financial KPI for Nexon’s business intelligence data warehouse.
• Drive commercial analysis, including analysis of products or services in a competitive context (based on external market analysis/trends or best practice).
• Cross-functional team work: Leads or contributes materially to delivering on the objective of a cross-functional project team.
• Effective communications: Uses quantitative and communication skills in persuading people across various levels of the organization of their commercial analysis.

Experience & Knowledge

• Strong analytical mindset, with sound analytical modelling and commercial / financial planning skills.
• Strong knowledge of tools to retrieve, analyze or present data, from retrieving data from large databases, Excel for analysis or Powerpoint and PowerBI to present or deliver results.
• Professional training as financial (FP&A) analyst, accountant or strategy analyst, with 3-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in projects in similar roles or a consultancy organization
• Proactive, keen to deliver outcomes (bias to action).
• Effective communicator: Adept at influencing and persuading others.
