Based at our Macquarie Park, Sydney HQ, this opportunity is best suited to a value-adding Senior Commercial Analyst who has a passion for influencing in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Tasked with providing critical insights and analysis to our Australian business, you will revel in turning data into business insights to ultimately drive sales performance and cost optimisation.

We are looking for a goal driven analyst to step into this business partnership role, and be an integral part of the team, requiring an intrinsic understanding of the commercial environment we operate in. You'll be key in translating financial information into clear direction for our sales and marketing to work with.
So who are you?
You are an experienced Commercial Analyst, who naturally builds robust working relationships and helps drive commercial decision making.
The purpose of the role is to support our Australian business to achieve our targets and pursue our leading goals. Contributing financial insights and solutions to support business planning, decision making and the execution to lift operational and financial performance. You’ll help provide the financial information and analytical insights which the business requires to operate effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.
A proven finance professional with demonstrated commercial experience preferably in a business partnering role with no less than 2-3+ years on the job experience, you’ll have the ability to develop and apply the correct commercial and financial solutions for the right situations and environments.
You’ll have demonstrated experience in a Commercial Analyst with strong Business Partnering skills in a fast-paced, commercial environment. Preferred experience in Distributor or a Consumer Goods retail focused environment of a medium to large organisation.
You’re comfortable taking ownership for the forecast and budgeting cycles and their interface into the strategic planning process. As well as bringing the technical knowhow, it is vital that you can communicate, influence and effectively partner with people at all levels of the organisation.
Technical Skills
Strong financial understanding and analytical skills
Ability to identify opportunities to improve business performance
Strong commercial acumen and experience in translating financial results into commercial and operational performance
Strong analytical skills, especially make meaning of diverse data to highlight key components of over / under achievement vs plan, identify trends and insights
Good understand of MS Office and analytics applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
Systems skills and knowledge of large ERP systems (JDE, Salesforce)
A high level of accuracy is required as is a keen eye and attention to detail.
