Campari Group is today the sixth-largest player worldwide in the premium spirits industry.General Description of the RoleThe Senior Commercial Analyst - Sales will be responsible for the provision of financial analysis and decision support to the commercial team, actively assisting in business planning, trade promotions, commercial analysis and CPI management. Would be the initial point of finance support for the Australian Sales team.Key Responsibilities and ActivitiesBusiness planningDevelop the financial monthly rolling forecast based on the sales forecast provided to provide the Group with the latest sales outlookWork with the commercial team to provide reporting and analysis to support there short term and long term planningCustomer P&L and trading termsDevelop and maintain Customer P&L so that the team is able to understand the potential impact of Campari's current and proposed initiatives.Assist in assessment of the probable impact to trading terms, discount structure with proposed initiative.Work with commercial team on evaluation and assessment of trading terms when required.Analyse the trade margin by customers and impact of customer mix on profitability.Promotional modelling and post promotional analysisDevelop and provide financial estimates of the expected and actual returns from different promotions with each key customer.Price Realisation and pricing strategyManages the price modelling and price submission with CPI changes.Provide analysis using historic, competive data to support the decision making.Assess financial impact of such decisions.Channel / pack strategyIn conjunction with the Sales & Marketing team, create a framework that outlines the current channel/customer/pack profitability as well as facilitating a debate and discussion around an appropriate channel / pack strategy.Assist in development of reporting and evaluation, tools for on premise channel.Market Share AnalysisAnalyse and report market share performance and the key activities in market and evaluation thereof.Provide insights into the probable cause of market share movements at total market and category level.Track the price promotion returns on various price points and issue findings to key stakeholders.Analyse the promotional frequency and range and distribution gains, impacts thereof.Strategic PlanningWorking with the Commercial Director, develop an analytical framework that reviews the Australian alcoholic beverage market, tracks competitor/product behavior so that emerging trends and growth opportunities are identifiedAdhoc finance supportDevelopment of automation tools to assist decision making within sales and marketing.
