About the Role
The Communications and Media team at Swinburne University of Technology are looking for a Senior Communication Advisor to join the team to create engaging content and drive communications for the exciting Student Experience Framework project.
The Swinburne Student Experience Framework is a collaboration with our students to re-imagine and co-create the Student Experience – from enrolment to graduation, so we can deliver the best university experience possible. The project encompasses a broad range of initiatives that will improve the Student Experience across curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular aspects of university life, as well as best prepare our graduates for the future of work.
In this role you will work in partnership with the Student Experience Framework project team and stakeholders across the university to collaboratively plan and implement a program of integrated communications campaigns, across multiple channels to students, staff and external audiences. You will coordinate, manage and mentor a small team of digital student ambassadors, working in close partnership with the Social Media team to coordinate and create dynamic social media and video content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other external communications channels.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Demonstrated excellence in communications strategy and planning.
• Excellent content production and editorial skills combined with an ability to work under time pressure to produce high quality communications materials.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and analyse emerging opportunities with respect to their communication needs.
• Demonstrated ability to use metrics to inform development of communications strategy.
• Demonstrated experience working with senior stakeholders in the development of communications strategy and plans.

Qualifications
Completion of a tertiary qualification with substantial relevant experience in corporate (external and internal) communications, PR, media, social media or a related field.
