We are seeking a seasoned Senior Communications and Media Advisor to join this vibrant not-for-profit organisation for a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This pivotal role focuses on advancing the organisation's mission through strategic communication and Media exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communication Design: Craft and implement communication plans that support our strategic objectives, cultural values, service enhancements, and marketing efforts.
- Media Relations: Generate significant unpaid media exposure by effectively handling media relations, crisis communications, and reputation management.
- Content Creation and Management: Lead the creation, editing, and distribution of high-quality content across all media platforms, including social media, corporate reports, and internal communications.
- Event Support and Engagement: Provide comprehensive media and communication support for various organizational events, employing tools ranging from press releases to live social media updates and event photography.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the Communications and Marketing team to support ongoing projects and initiatives, enhancing team knowledge and practices in communication strategies.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor media performance and provide strategic advice based on media trends, reputation risks, and opportunities.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in communications, media relations, or a related field, preferably within a not-for-profit context.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media strategies and platforms, with a knack for engaging diverse audiences effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver impactful communication strategies under tight deadlines.
- Skilled in crafting tailored messages that resonate across various demographics, enhancing inclusivity and reach.
- Experience in crisis Communications and reputation management.
