From our centre teams to our support teams, we work together to make a real difference for children in those crucial early years.The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for using communication tools, including strategic campaigns, digital media platforms, internal communications channels to provide the information and advice to our Centre Leaders, Goodstarters and stakeholders need to give children the best possible start in life. You will be working with a team of highly experienced Communications Specialists.The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide strategic communications advice and create tools that engages, inspires and tells the stories of our people, priorities and purpose
- Contribute to the on-going improvements of Goodstart’s communication framework and engagement tools to amplify and localise messages to our people
- Take a ‘centre-led approach’ to all communications materials, resources and plans
- In partnership with the wider team create an environment of co-design and collaboration across Goodstart that can be communicated in a simple, compelling and consistent manner
- Think outside the box and use creative and innovate ways to drive key messages that will reach every Goodstarter
- Use your highly developed communication skills to explain, enhance and inspire all Goodstarters
- Create content that drives engagement with our key stakeholder groups.
- Contribute to the communication calendar across Goodstart to improve communication effectiveness and highlight the impact of key initiatives across the business
- Partner with other CSO teams to evolve our communication approach to reflect the changing needs of our people
- Hold a formal tertiary qualification in communications and have gained a level of experience within a similar role.
- Have the ability to think outside of the box to develop communication plans and campaigns that ‘land’ well.
- Possess a passion for developing content which captures attention and drives engagement for purpose.
- An understanding for change management and experience of working within a ‘service ‘ industry is desirable.
