Role description:

Due to recent project wins, our team is growing! We are now seeking applications for a Senior Compliance Manager to work closely with our transportation team across multiple projects of varying scale.

Role accountabilities:

  • Considerable experience in leading and managing teams within the construction industry and overseeing implementation of design, specifications, and standards by delivery partners.
  • To ensure conformance of the works to meet Client, Contractor, and Arcadis requirements as well as the requirements of the Project Deed
  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on construction quality, progress and compliance with Project Deeds
  • To take a key role in projects within IAS specialist field, providing leadership, technical advice and overview as required
  • To interface and collaborate with delivery partners to achieve efficient and technically sound outcomes
  • The ability to assist Independent Certifier Representative with preparing and reviewing the Contractor's Management Plan consistent with the Independent Certifier's Certification and Monitoring Plan
  • Familiarity with EDMS/IMS systems will be highly regarded, as will quality system knowledge
  • Keeping up to date with technical and legislative developments and seeking opportunities to develop a professional profile such as giving presentations to relevant conferences/meetings/professional bodies and participation in technical committees for trade organisations and standards
  • The ability to review audit test results, geotechnical and other test reports. Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on construction quality and progress.
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with important stakeholders to achieve best project outcomes.
  • Ensuring early identification and resolving of potential complex technical issues on site
  • Ensuring that the latest versions of drawings are being used by delivery partners and promoting a culture of continuous innovation and improvement.
  • Coaching and development of fellow technicians and engineers on site and developing and maintaining professional relationships with delivery partners
  • Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You want to contribute to the changing infrastructure around our state and will come to us with:

  • Civil engineering qualifications (civil engineering degree) from a recognised institution and acceptable for Membership of Engineers Australia.
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in the construction industry, preferably working on complex road and bridge engineering projects.
  • Relevant construction services background
  • Knowledge of audit and testing processes and management of lead and senior auditors
  • Demonstrable experience working in high dollar value (>$100 million) alliance or design and construct contracts with multi discipline areas such as structures, roads and drainage works.
  • Demonstrable experience managing the quality management process for an alliance or design and construct contract.
  • Construction project experience (including multi-discipline project delivery)
  • 10 years' experience specifically in a construction supervision/verification environment.
  • Proficiency in the understanding and application of Quality Management Systems
  • Demonstrable leadership qualities
  • Ability to think in an innovative and solution driven manner.
  • Ability to lead a site team, as applicable.
  • Ability to develop standards and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Ability to effectively interface with design, construction, and community management teams within the project.
  • High level experience in ISO 9001 and a qualified lead auditor.
