What You'll Do
- Assist senior team members involved in the preparation of delay reports, including program/schedule analysis and delay event identification.
- Provide support to senior team members involved in the preparation of contractual claims for purpose of demonstrating entitlement to relief from liquidated damages (extension of time) and time related indirect costs (prolongation).
- Provide support to designated testifying experts in the preparation of independent delay expert reports, including analysing and processing project records and data.
- Assist as an integrated member of our clients' legal and commercial teams in providing support to resolve disputes, from research and analysis to mediation, arbitration and trial proceedings.
- Advise and assist construction and engineering contractors and subcontractors in addressing and resolving commercial issues.
- Assist construction and engineering contractors and subcontractors with commercial, contract, programme and contract administration.
- Melbourne based, possibly with some interstate and/or international travel.

Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience working in a construction or engineering environment in a commercial, contract administration and planning/scheduling.
- Tertiary qualifications in a construction management or engineering discipline.
- A keen interest in construction law and dispute resolution, with a desire to progress a career with an international construction consultancy.
- A keen interest and aspiration to pursue and obtain a post-graduate industry-recognised professional qualification(s) and secure appropriate institution memberships/affiliations.
- High-level written and spoken English skills.
- Experienced in the use of programming and scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Fully conversant with MS Office including advanced MS Excel skills.
- Travel to FTI Consulting's inter-state and international locations may be required.
