Senior Consultant Experience Design Lead
We’re looking for a talented and passionate designer to join our Experience Design team to deliver a variety of design projects.
This is an opportunity to join one of Melbourne’s largest design practices and be part of a company that is centred around a strategic ambition of improving our customer and banker experience
In this role, you will deliver a variety of UX design projects with the support a team of designers from the brief to delivery ensuring project documentation and organisation. You will also engage in hands on design work yourself as required, utilising Figma and Sketch.
As an Experience Design Leader, your mission will be to lead in the designing of amazing experiences, improving the way our customers and bankers interact and engage with our brand, product and services that ultimately improve our customers financial wellbeing and makes banking easy.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage the design delivery of a variety of projects with the support a team of designers
- Ensure project outcomes are achieved by collaborating closely with other designers, researchers, scrum master, data analysts/scientists, POs, change practitioners and leaders within the domain; as well as inform prioritisation and align to the capacity of the team
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative design sessions to understand user needs and business objectives
- Design the experience using insights from qualitative and quantitative research by creating artefacts that showcase the desired experience in the form of low to high fidelity concepts for example task flows, service blueprints, wireframes
- Define and create best in class customer experiences for products, services and features across a range of projects and initiatives
- Influence the business around moving towards solutions that meet both customer and business outcomes. Understand and align key objectives, metrics and measures of success, and report on eventual outcomes
- Prepare and communicate insights, learnings, and solutions with persuasive storytelling for stakeholders
What you’ll bring
As a Senior Experience Designer, you will consider yourself confident in the planning, communicating value and execution of research to understand user needs and opportunities across all stages of the design process (ideation to delivery).
You will be proficient in determining the most suitable methods and tools to collect, process and analyse both qualitative and quantitative research data, ensuring alignment to best practice. You will be a very strong communicator, passionate about creating amazing user experiences and guiding designers in the process of doing so.
In addition, you will have:
- Demonstrated in-depth experience in leading complex programs of work
- Project management skills and demonstrated ability to achieve the project brief requirements, within agreed budget and timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to partner and successfully collaborate with multiple disciplines and complex teams (Product Owners, Design Lead, Technical Analysts, UI designers, Engineers and other experts)
- Excellent working knowledge of the Experience Design methodologies principles and process including Human Centred Design (HCD)
- Ability to translate research insights into solid design solutions and provide strong rationale for the design decisions made
- Excellent experience design skills and the ability to create artefacts such as insights and recommendations papers, Customer Journey Maps, Service Blueprints, concepts and Personas
- Proficient working within Agile delivery framework, using relevant practices and principles such as Lean UX, Minimum Viable Product, user stories, acceptance criteria, and rapid prototyping
- Proven experience utilising design tools such as Optimal Workshop, InVision, Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite
