About us
At Transgrid, we play crucial role in connecting electricity generators to the distribution network that power homes and businesses - we operate over 13,000km of high voltage transmission wires and 110 substations in NSW and the ACT.
This is an exciting time to join us. As Australia transitions to renewable energy, we are ensuring the transmission system can deliver clean and reliable energy to support the transformation. You will have an opportunity to make a real difference and leave a legacy.
Not only does our work improve the lives of millions, from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between, we are also leading the transition to a clean energy future – and you can be a part of it.
About the opportunity
You’ll be providing ongoing contract management, contract administration and commercial services to our VNI West project (a $2bn+ major project). VNI West is a proposed new 500 kV double circuit transmission line connecting the high voltage electricity grids in New South Wales and Victoria. It’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to re-shape the NSW and Victorian transmission networks.
This is a role where you will add real value, whilst still having scope to develop and grow. You will:
- Manage the operation of the contract cycle from a project development and delivery perspective
- Work closely with the other managers, including the Procurement Manager, Schedule & Risk Managers and external contractors to ensure sound contract management of all VNI West contracts
- Support the transaction process of VNI West, including involvement in a highly interactive process with contractors
About you
It’s a challenging role, you’ll need to be ambitious and ready to immerse yourself in the project. You will have:
- Proven experience in managing large construction contracts, ideally for >$1bn linear infrastructure projects
- Experience in tendering and evaluations
- Ability to develop good working relationships - both internally and externally (contractors)
- Proven commercial background with strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in the use of business systems and excellent MS Office skills
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline
Recognition & Reward
In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program and workplace flexibility.
