We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contracts & Procurement Administrator to join our team. This role offers an unrivalled opportunity to learn and work with the NEC4 suite of contracts in support of Sydney Water's rollout of its new procurement strategy, Partnering for Success (P4S). Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for executing the contract administration process and coordinating all interfaces within the many Construction, Maintenance and FM projects at one of Sydney Water's largest Treatment Plants at North Head, Manly. You will ensure process integrity, demonstrate commercial experience and insight, and protect CW against risk exposure. This is primarily a Site Based role.
ABOUT YOU
- Member of a dynamic procurement and commercial team on a secure, long term, leading JV project
- Assist Procurement Manager in the development of procurement strategy and procedures to ensure that Confluence Water meets its commercial, probity and risk management objectives
- In conjunction with the Procurement Manager, effectively plan, program, and manage tender packages, issue to market, assess, negotiate and execute subcontracts
- Assess and approve subcontract claims and prepare payment schedules in accordance with the Security of Payments Act
- Assess and advise on subcontract variations and EOT claims and maintain registers
- Provide contractual guidance to resolve disputes in collaboration with Project Teams and others as required
- Ensure all subcontract obligations are completed relating bank guarantees, insurances, etc
- Prepare internal subcontract approval documentation in collaboration with project team
- Assist with the preparation of Head Contract notices, claims and maintenance of registers
- Continuously improve practices and processes through innovative ideas
- Develop strong relationships with the supply chain and the project teams
- Previous experience working in the engineering and construction industry as a Contracts Administrator (highly desirable).
