About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a technically minded individual to join Heat and Control’s Apprenticeship program. Prior to applying you should have decided you have what it takes to make it in the world of machining as a Fitter & Turner. This is an opportunity to work with the leader in the industry, in a very clean environment. You will be trained in (but not limited to):
- Performing all machining related activities to the required quality, within the allocated time frame to ensure on time delivery
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings correctly
- Fabricating parts using your acquired trade skills from the specifications in technical drawings
- Operating related plant and equipment safely
- Recommending changes to engineering specifications/drawings to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost specifications
About you:
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- A genuine interest in machining
- Currently enrolled or about to enroll at TAFE/College
- Clear, confident and strong communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Be driven to work to a high quality with pride in the work you carry out
- Strong commitment to safety
- Willing to perform various tasks as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn

Employment is on a permanent basis, working full time hours under our Enterprise Agreement. This position is in a workshop environment, manufacturing machinery products for the food processing industry.
