Overview
The Senior Coordinator, Admissions and Scholarships, is responsible for ensuring the efficient, effective and timely delivery of domestic and international Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) admissions, enrolments and Scholarships and provides a high-level of service to HDR students and a range of stakeholders across the university. The position works closely with stakeholders to deliver the best result for the local area and the broader university.
As a Senior Coordinator you will:
- Lead a team of up to 10 professional staff managing domestic and international HDR admissions, enrolment and scholarship work and critical activities appropriately and recognise barriers to achieving outcomes, find effective ways to deal with them and evaluate progress.
- Ensure that HDR admissions, enrolment and scholarship activities are delivered in an efficient, effective and timely manner
- Coach and work with team members to facilitate growth and development by giving balanced and constructure feedback considering individual capability and team performance
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with faculties, institutes and HDR Candidature Operations peers to successfully fulfill the requirements of the role
- Seek feedback from a wide range of stakeholders including Research Grants and Business Development and Impact, Advancement, and others to clarify criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise in a university environment, higher degrees by research or student services environment
- Experience with university governance and policy
- Experience in dealing with confidential materials and sensitive matters
