About the Role
The Senior Coordinator City Property is a pivotal role tasked with leading the development of relevant strategies, policies, programs, and projects for Council, including the realignment of the property portfolio and the development of a long-term property investment strategy to support Council’s future direction. Working as part of the City Property team reporting directly to the CEO, this is an exciting opportunity for a senior property expert to play an integral part in the inception, development, analysis, and execution of Councils strategic long term property portfolio objectives. The Senior Coordinator City Property, will take the lead in identifying, analysing, recommending, and pursuing land and property development/investment opportunities, fostering innovative initiatives, and managing proposals and activities. Collaboration with government entities, industry partners, and community stakeholders is an essential part of this role, to drive and implement projects focused on strategic land and property development. A key to your success will be your significant experience in property strategic planning and portfolio optimisation to achieve economic, social/community and environmentally sustainable outcomes, portfolio investment planning, property development, property acquisitions and divestment including, feasibility studies and due diligence investigations relating to property activities.
About You
- An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in land economics, real estate, law, planning, property development, valuation or related field or relevant work experience at a senior level.
- Significant demonstrated understanding and experience in property strategic planning, portfolio optimisation to achieve economic, social/community and environmentally sustainable outcomes, portfolio investment planning, property development, property acquisitions and divestment.
- Demonstrated understanding or experience of property/asset management particularly from a whole of lifecycle perspective, land valuation and property leasing.
- Strong understanding of legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements relating to property industry best practices, preferably as it relates to Local Government.
- Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve targets.
- Demonstrated experience in the development of strategic property related processes and templates.
- Highly developed written communication skills including the ability to prepare Council reports, service level agreements, complex briefings, and technical reports.
- Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills and judgement, including the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy, and guidelines.
- Experience leading strategic business planning in a manner that demonstrates strong financial and budgetary acumen.
- Desirable to have experience with or demonstrated understanding of VPA processes, negotiations, and related strategic outcomes.

Your commencing annual salary will range from $136,890.94 to $150,070.82 + Superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
