About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our Hunter Class line of business based at Osborne Naval Shipyard - SA reporting to the Cyber Analysis Lead.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

You will be responsible for assisting the IM&T group within the Maritime Business Unit (BU) with the security considerations of IM&T scope of work.

You will work with the rest of the Maritime Cyber Security team to deliver a Cyber Security Program which is focused on improving the Cyber Security resiliency of the Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems which the Maritime BU depends on.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical security advice and design input in relation to Cloud, Web, Application, IT and OT Infrastructure
  • Provide security advice in relation to policy and standards
  • Coordinating and support of security operations such as vulnerability management, logging and monitoring, data loss prevention, auditing and incident response
  • Support program wide security risk management and threat analysis through a range of risk identification and compliance activities
  • Lead accreditation and compliance activities

About YOU

  • A degree in computer science, ICT/Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
  • Professional Cyber Security certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager, (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) desirable or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with and conducting compliance and maturity assessments against industry standards and compliance frameworks including NIST, C2M2, ISM, etc.
  • Working knowledge of information systems security policies, and standards (e.g., access control and system hardening, system audit and log file monitoring, security policies, and incident response)
  • Demonstrated experience and security knowledge of one or more of the following platforms: Windows/Unix/Linux/Cisco IOS
  • Experience with the following security tools is desirable: SIEM, Application Control, EDR, vulnerability management, OT IDS/IPS
  • Knowledge in IT fundamentals such as application development, systems administration or networking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills, analysis skills, critical thinking and problem solving
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
