About the Role
You'll be working in a highly confidential Defence project that can be done from Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne. NV2 Security Clearance is a must.
You'll be overseeing incident response and team management to guarantee vigilant monitoring and comprehensive coverage. You will provide SME services around Incident response to this branch of DoD to efficiently avoid and mitigate cyber-attacks.
A high-level comprehension of security operations and detection development processes is essential, along with the ability to enhance documentation and playbooks. The role includes spearheading the compilation and prioritisation of detection and alerting issues identified by analysts for subsequent action by SOC engineers.
Skills & Experience
- Must possess NV2 or above security clearance.
- Experience in SOC Environment as last point of escalation triaging. Previous Defence experience is highly regarded.
- Experience with detection development methodologies and Incident Response procedures and best practices.
- Advanced networking and operating systems knowledge.
- High level of investigative skills, reverse engineering and ability to think out of the box
- Comprehensive understanding of incident handling methodologies, encompassing malware analysis, traffic analysis, and log analysis.
- Experience working in ITIL or other service management process driven enterprises.
