Senior Cyber Security Analyst Government

The Company…This state government department plays a crucial role in development of NSW and is currently involved in various community focused projects across the state.

Due to an increase in work volume, this respected Government organization have an immediate need for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to deliver and continuously improve cyber defence, risk and resilience services across the department.

The contract duration will be for 6 months, with hybrid working arrangements in Parramatta.

The Job…

Reporting into the Project Manager, in this Senior Cyber Security Analyst role, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provide varied cyber defence services encompassing security operations, intelligence, advisory, assurance, culture, compliance, business continuity, and portfolio delivery.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis to effectively mitigate cyber and technology risks across agencies and clusters.
• Design, develop, and implement tailored tools and processes to bolster the effectiveness of cyber and risk teams.
• Continuously monitor service efficacy and provide strategic recommendations for enhancement.
• Establish and nurture robust business relationships to advocate for superior cyber defence practices.
• Exemplify leadership behaviours aimed at achieving organizational outcomes that benefit customers, employees, and communities.

You…To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

• At least 2 years experience at a Senior Cyber Security Analyst level.
• Strong data analysis, communication, problem solving, analysis and writing skills is a must.
• Previous public sector experience will be high advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, self-management, and organizational skills, adept at managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge and understanding of the rapidly evolving cyber security, risk and resilience landscape.
