Band 8 - $120,339.78 - $134,850.06 + super + RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

As a Senior Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Cyber Security strategy, policies, standards, and procedures for Yarra City Council, in alignment with the business objectives and risk appetite.
Establishing and overseeing a Cyber Security governance framework, including roles and responsibilities, reporting, monitoring, auditing, and continuous improvement.
Managing the Cyber Security operations, including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, incident response, forensics, and recovery.
Providing expert advice and guidance on Cyber Security matters to senior management, business units, and external stakeholders, and promoting Cyber Security awareness and culture across the organisation.
Managing the Cyber Security budget, resources, and vendors, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality Cyber Security services and solutions.
Evaluating and implementing emerging Cyber Security technologies and best practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and legislation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience in a Senior Cyber Security role, preferably in a local government or public sector context.
Certification in information security such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, SANS, OSCP is highly desirable.
Certification in Microsoft security such as SC-900, SC-400, SC-300, SC-200 is highly desirable.
A current Victorian Driver’s license.
A valid current police check.
