The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Data Analystto join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Assist with the development of new safety and quality data assets and their integration into the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service advanced data platform
- Assist the development of automated reports using various tools, that provide timely, accurate and high-quality overview of safety and quality indicators
- Develop and deliver data analysis and reports on patient safety and quality to inform the clinical governance/safety and quality committees
- Support the delivery of timely responses to requests for safety and quality data, providing expert, timely analysis and advice to key stakeholders
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- While not mandatory, the ability to operate under minimal supervision, making sound decisions and escalating issues in a timely manner would be well regarded
- While not mandatory advanced skills and understanding of query languages, such as Standard Query Language (SQL), Data Analysis Expression (DAX), and Multidimensional Expressions (MDX), and the application of contemporary modelling techniques would be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 29.12.2024, with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $3 928.50 - $4 274.40 per fortnight
